As part of our mergers and acquisitions program, we will provide an in-depth analysis of the current state of compliance as it relates to the merger and acquisition’s target practice. This assessment provides an analysis related to the current state of the practice related to their Compliance Program, HIPAA Privacy and Security and OSHA compliance. This is a crucial part of the merger and acquisition process that helps to determine the overall compliance culture, health information privacy, security, breach notification, and OSHA compliance activities. The audit is designed to assess the Compliance Program, HIPAA, and OSHA compliance efforts of the target acquisition and the services provided, also presenting an opportunity to assess compliance gaps, identify areas of opportunity related to best practices, discover risks and vulnerabilities during the merger and acquisition due diligence process. This will consist of onsite direct and indirect observations, leadership interviews and practice specific documentation and policy and procedure review.
We are also able to compile data from the target practice’s current system to communicate with the acquisition source and speed up the due diligence process. This not only saves time but provides a more comprehensive view of the target organization, allowing for more informed decision-making.
